AN INNOVATIVE EDUCATION

We’re equipping a new generation of entrepreneurs to help fuel innovation in agriculture. That requires a unique learning environment. Through a hands-on, experiential education, our students will gain a world-class education that prepares them to be strategic thinkers and innovative problem solvers. Our curriculum will emphasize Conservation Agriculture and One Health principles, while equipping students with practical skills in communication, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Students will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Agriculture in a three year, internationally recognized program.

As innovative problem-solvers, RICA graduates will be prepared to be leaders, wherever their careers may lead. Through classroom and field training, and practical internship experiences, we’re preparing students with the knowledge and skills to thrive as entrepreneurs.

WHAT IS CONSERVATION  AGRICULTURE?

At RICA, our curriculum is centered around Conservation Agriculture.  Our students will learn techniques that can increase agricultural yields, while also protecting soil quality, and preserving biodiversity and natural resources. With Rwanda’s population set to double by 2050, we believe that a Conservation Agriculture approach is critical to maximize food production – and, importantly, to protect our fragile, erosion-prone land for future farming.
