RICA students represent Rwanda’s best and brightest young leaders, and they all have one thing in common: a passion for making a difference, and a drive for serving their communities and country through conservation agriculture. Application Process
RICA accepts applications for new students every December. After the initial application window closes, finalists are selected and invited to an in-person interview day, including interactive group activities and an English proficiency exam.
Eligibility
We seek applicants who aspire to create transformational change in agriculture. Applicants will be considered based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership qualities and a passion for an entrepreneurial career in the agriculture sector. All classes are taught in English, so English language proficiency is required.

FAQs
What programs does RICA offer?
RICA offers a three-year Bachelor of Science in Conservation Agriculture program. Students can choose a specialty in Crop Production Systems, Animal Production Systems, Food Processing Systems or Irrigation and Mechanization Systems.
Does RICA offer scholarship or financial aid?
Yes. All students admitted at RICA receive a full scholarship that covers tuition, accommodation on campus, meals and medical insurance.
How can I apply to RICA?
When does RICA open applications?
Applications for admission open in December and close by the end of the month. You are advised to visit our website to get the dates for the next intake.

What important documents am I required to submit at the time of application?
Before submitting your application, you are required to upload a copy of your national ID and A level result slip.
